More Self Sufficiency Programs
Saving our Cents: Saving Our Cents is a special savings program for low to moderate income people. Income-eligible clients make a minimum monthly deposit of $25. The SOC program matches double the amount deposited. The maximum savings potential combined with matching funds is $4,000. These funds can be used for buying a home, starting a business or furthering education.
Shelter Plus Care: The Shelter Plus Care Program provides rental assistance and case management services to disabled individuals that are homeless. The program enables income eligible families to obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing by subsidizing a portion of the monthly rent.
ND Cares: This program is offered to assist clients living with HIV or AIDS obtain health and supportive services. This service focuses on improving the client's quality of life, addressing issues with housing, transportation, and other needs.
Aids/HIV Prevention: This program provides free safer sex kits to the general public, along with individual education on proper use and safety precautions. Free and confidential HIV testing is also available.
